UgLi are a Philly based rock band who apparently loves '90s indie rock as much as I do. As soon as I heard the opening chorus-laden riff nodding its head to Weezer's infamous "Undone," I knew I found a new favorite band. The riffs meanders about behind Frankie Cosmo-esque vocals that fade into the mix; a bit quiet, a bit shy. But the vocals transform from meek to fuck-you when the band explodes into the chorus in classic power-pop fashion, blasting the listener with fuzzed out guitars and heavy drums. But UgLi aren't just in love with big choruses, this band can play. The song veers off into a heavy riff-based bridge before turning into a chugging outro that's sure to get your head banging. Between the dreamy verses and snarling choruses, this is a track you'll blare again and again. Stream it on Spotify. Purchase on BandCamp. And listen below:
